Purpose
OUR MISSION
LCUFA's
mission is to organize Lowndes County people, to permanently improve
the quality of life, to promote self-determination and to fight for
environmental justice.
OUR
PURPOSE
Through
our unity we aim:
- To
organize and unite in this organization, all citizens of Lowndes
County for the common good.
- To
win economic, social, and political rights for all Lowndes
citizens without regard to criteria such as: race, sex, color,
national origin, religious or political beliefs or associations,
age, handicap, sexual orientation, language differences,
citizenship status, unfavorable military discharge, or criminal
record.
- To
work collectively for environmental justice and self
determination.
- To
achieve through cooperative efforts, protection against the
problems arising from political disenfranchisement.
- To
work collectively for the economic, social, cultural, and
political rights of Lowndes Citizens.
- To
encourage the pursuit of knowledge and help to educate our
community.

To work
hand-in-hand with other progressive community groups, towards the
betterment of Lowndes County.
